We invite you to watch our video tour of the Bell Techlogix Experience Center and to decide if we can help you bring a modern educational environment into your school.
How do we best help our children learn? How do we help educators spark the imagination of their students and use the classroom to its fullest advantage with the technology available? These are a few of the questions that we have been focusing on at the Bell Techlogix Experience Center in Indianapolis, Indiana. We have built a cutting edge learning environment to help give educators an idea of what they can do within their schools and classrooms to make learning come alive.
At our Experience Center we focus on the process of learning more than the traditional notion of “teaching”. Technology has opened up a plethora of options for educators. Unfortunately trying to shoehorn the use of whiteboards, laptops and other electronic devices into the old way of the doing things does not work. At Bell Techlogix we want to assist teaching professionals in discovering how to best utilize this technology and help them create the richest learning experience possible.
Carol Pendlum, Director of Product Sales (Education) at Bell Techlogix, hosts a guided tour through the different areas of our Experience Center and explains the thought process behind the development of each site.
Largely based on the writings of David Thornburg in his book “From the Campfire to the Holodeck”, Bell Techlogix has designed a modern educational environment that challenges the traditional approach to education.
The old lecture style classrooms do not work with the technology we have today.
Changing the overall design of the classroom setting helps students look at learning in a whole new way and it helps educators achieve the results they desire.
The Bell Techlogix Experience Center is a place where educators can come to learn how to best utilize the technology that they might already have or plan to acquire for their schools. We can work with them to develop curriculum that embraces the technology they want to use. Administrators can also come and see how the equipment they want to purchase can be used to its optimum potential. The Experience Center offers the teaching professional an opportunity to experience a twenty first century classroom themselves and to see first hand the benefits their students will gain from such a rich learning environment.
